‘Baywatch’ Officially Rated; New Trailer Coming Soon

Paramount's upcoming reboot of the classic series Baywatch has officially been Rated R and a new trailer for the film is on the way.


Paramount’s upcoming reboot of the classic series Baywatch has officially been Rated R for language, crude sexual content and graphic nudity.

In addition, Trailer Track has revealed a new full-length trailer for the film has also been rated. The trailer is expected to release in the coming weeks, possibly running before CHIPs or Ghost in the Shell.

Baywatch follows Lieutenant of the LA County Lifeguards Mitch Buchannon (Dwayne Johnson) and lifeguard Matt Brody (Zac Efron) as they team up to stop the villainous oil tycoon Victoria Leeds (Priyanka Chopra) who is threatening the future of the bay.

The film is an R-rated adaptation of the series about lifeguards on the beaches of Santa Monica, CA which debuted in 1989 going on to become a major hit in the 90’s. Original Baywatch stars David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson have both been confirmed to appear in the new film.

The film also stars Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, Ilfenesh Hadera, Jon Bass, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Here’s the official synopsis:

Lifeguard Mitch Buchannon (Dwayne Johnson) and a brash new recruit (Zac Efron) uncover a criminal plot that threatens the future of the bay.

Baywatch hits theaters May 26, 2017.
