Ex-Batman Star Ben Affleck Loves His Controversial Back Tattoo Even If You Don’t

Batman actor Ben Affleck isn’t holding back about his feelings regarding that controversial back tattoo.

Ben Affleck’s latest film Triple Frontier landed on Netflix earlier this week and it features the former Batman actor amongst an iconic cast of stars that includes Star Wars actor Oscar Isaac and Wonder Woman 1984‘s Pedro Pascal. While doing a recent interview with Ellen Degeneres, Ben Affleck opened up about his controversial back tattoo.

During the interview, Ellen made a joke about the actor’s Phoenix tattoo, which covers nearly his entire back. Although Ben Affleck was a good sport about the joke, he did have a very honest response to those who aren’t fans of it. This what the Batman v Superman star had to say about the tattoo.

“I was about to say it represents something really important to me, but we’ll skip that.”

The actor then continued with the story and elaborated on why it’s so important to him.

“It’s meaningful to me. I like it… The sentiment ran against, but I love it. Luckily, I’m the one who has it.”

The Dark Knight is getting his own solo movie from director Matt Reeves but before then, his archnemesis the Joker will be getting a solo movie of his own. Starring Joaquin Phoenix, Joker opens in theaters this October.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding the DC Extended Universe as soon as more information becomes available. How do you feel about Ben Affleck leaving the iconic role of DC’s Dark Knight? Which appearance of his in the DCEU, of which there have been three, is your favorite?
