Batman Star Ben Affleck’s Divorce Could Be Stopped

Warner Bros. and DC's current Batman himself, Ben Affleck, may have his divorce case dismissed due to a "delay in prosecution".

Batman star Ben Affleck may have his divorce case dismissed due to a “delay in prosecution”.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner had previously announced their intent to divorce in 2015 after eleven years of marriage. Since the announcement, the two had remained amicable and publicly displayed their transition and co-parenting. Affleck even lived in the guest house while he was sorting out his new living arrangements.

The court announced that due to the couple failing to file and enter the final judgement of the divorce. The Blast reports that the court has told the couple, “If you fail to take the appropriate steps in your case, the court may dismiss your case for delay in prosecution.” Even if the couple fails to submit their final judgment in time and the case gets thrown out, this doesn’t mean that Affleck and Garner may be getting back together.

The Batman v Superman actor was reported to be dating TV producer Lindsay Shookus back in 2017 while Garner has since taken on the role of arguably the most adorable celebrity on Instagram.

Affleck was last seen don Batman’s cowl on Justice League. Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Amber Heard, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons, Connie Nielsen, Julian Lewis Jones and Ciarán Hinds.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, and DVD.
