When Ben Affleck’s suprise casting for Batman v Superman was announced, many believed he would go onto direct and star in a solo film as well. That didn’t turn out to be the case in the end. Over his DCEU tenure, Ben Affleck did cameo in Suicide Squad and starred in Justice League, but no solo film. Matt Reeves’ film is heading in a different direction and a new Batman will be cast. While Zack Snyder’s DCEU film tend to be devisive, most can agree Ben Affleck’s Batman sported the most comic-accurate look out of all the live-action versions. A new image from Justice League reinstates why that is still the case:
Do you think the next Batsuit will top Ben Affleck’s? What would you like it to take inspiration from? Sound off in the comment below!
Plot details for Matt Reeves’ Batman film are currently under wraps. The film is said to revolve around a young Bruce Wayne and Matt Reeves has previously confirmed that it will not be directly based on Frank Miller’s Year One comic.
Here’s the official synopsis for Justice League:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
