‘Justice League’ Star Ben Affleck Gets Candid On Unused Batman Script

Ben Affleck isn’t holding back about his unhappiness with the Batman script he co-wrote.

Before Matt Reeves took over writing and directing duties on the upcoming Batman solo movie, Justice League star Ben Affleck was going to write and direct the film, which he would also star in. After working on a script for some time, Ben Affleck walked away from the project and just recently walked away from the Batman role altogether.

Ben Affleck was recently talking to IGN about his upcoming Netflix movie Tripe Frontier when he gave some insight into why he walked away from the solo movie focusing on the Dark Knight. Check out what the actor had to say about the unused script below.

“That was part of the problem is that we worked on the script, I was trying to figure out how to crack it, and I was never happy enough with it where I thought it was worth going out and making it because I just didn’t want to do a version that I wasn’t really excited. by, so I still don’t know.”

The next installment of the DCEU titled Shazam! hits theaters next month with Zachary Levi in the lead role. Fans who want more DC action on the big screen can see if their local theaters are still playing Aquaman, which continues to break records at the domestic box office.
