Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale achieved legendary status among Batman fans all over the world after their trilogy redefined the superhero genre forever. Especially The Dark Knight, with Heath Ledger’s Academy Award-winning performance as the Joker, which gave us a look into how storytelling, character development, and an awesome plot can make a superhero film as interesting and profound as any other prestige film. Furthermore, The Dark Knight Rises completed the trilogy with an arguably satisfactory conclusion with the hint of mystery about the true fat of Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne that only Christopher Nolan knows how to deliver.
Very much in that line, we discover this new fan art depicting Ben Affleck as Christian Bale’s Batman in The Dark Knight Rises. Check it out:
Questioned since the announcement of his casting as Bruce Wayne in the DC Extended Universe, Ben Affleck truly delivered one of the most comic-accurate and beloved portrayals of Batman in recent years. Ever since the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer appeared and Ben Affleck dropped his crooked Bruce Wayne smile, everyone seemed star struck. Even though that film and Justice League didn’t get the critical response Warner Bros. and DC expected, Ben Affleck’s performance convinced fans all over. Nowadays, it almost feels like a lot of people will miss Ben Affleck as Batman and this fan art is proof that the catharsis for his departure has truly started.
Do you think the next Bruce Wayne/Batman will be as accurate as Ben Affleck was? Sound off in the comment section down below!
