According to a source, Ben Affleck's recent stint in rehab did not play a factor into his involvement with 'The Batman' film.
Many have speculated about where Affleck’s involvement with the DC Extended Universe is headed after he departed directorial duties from The Batman which will now be helmed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War for the Planet of the Apes). Thankfully, EW reports that the Oscar-winner’s recent rehab stint played no factor in his involvement with the film.
It is great to hear that Affleck took the initiative to take care of his personal health and sought out the help necessary to help battle alcohol addiction. On top of playing one of the most iconic superheroes of all-time, setting a good example for his own children as well as millions of fans around the world is heroic in and of itself. We wish Affleck the best of luck with his prospects both donning the cape and cowl and beyond.
Affleck will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman in Justice League, which will hit theaters on November 17. Meanwhile, you can check out another Batman adventure with The LEGO Batman Movie which is in theaters now.
