Benedict Cumberbatch Places ‘Avengers’ Co-Stars On Naughty Or Nice List

During an interview with Radio Times, Avengers: Infinity War star Benedict Cumberbatch revealed which of his Marvel co-stars he believes would be on the Naughty List this year.

While promoting his upcoming film The Grinch, Benedict Cumberbatch was tasked with placing his former co-stars on a Naughty or Nice list in honor of the Christmas season. Included among the names were some of Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange and Avengers co-stars such as Robert Downey Jr.:

“Naughty. Very naughty. He’s so naugty. He’s actually incredibly generous and would go up to the nice list.”

After placing Rachel McAdams and Tom Hiddleston on the Nice List, Cumberbatch said Tilda Swinton would be on the Naughty List alongside the notoriously loose-lipped Tom Holland:

“Tom Holland definitely on the naughty list. Can’t keep his trap shut. A silent step for him.”

Christ Pratt and Chiwetel Ejiofor were also placed on the Naughty list with Karen Gillan:

“[Karen Gillan is] so badass, I’d have to put her in the naughty category otherwise she’ll be cross with me.”

As for Martin Freeman, who starred in Black Panther and appeared alongside Cumberbatch in BBC’s Sherlock, Cumberbatch said:

“Definitely on the naughty list. Watson’s very naughty. I think Martin, he couldn’t abide being on a nice list, he’d have to go on the naughty list.

Doctor Strange is expected to return in the fourth Avengers film.

A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers 4 is expected to star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, Brie Larson, Josh Brolin and Chris Pratt.

Avengers 4 is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 3, 2019.
