Benedict Wong sat down to talk about the 'Doctor Strange' moment that had him going full fanboy and his excitement for 'Infinity War.'
Speaking with Comicbook.com, Wong talked about the scene in Doctor Strange where he got to deliver the explanation of the Eye of Agamotto, perhaps better known as the Time Stone – one of the six Infinity Stones (or gems).
“There’s a fanboy in you that, when you read these lines, is going, ‘Oh my God. The Avengers. Yeah! The Infinity Stone! I’m delivering all of this and I’ve just got to calm all of that [in my mind]. The fanboy is going ‘AH!’ and I’m saying, ‘Please, just settle down in the corner,’ and really trying to deliver it with some sense of calmness.”
Even before Doctor Strange hit theaters, Wong was already confirmed to reprise his role in Avengers: Infinity War. And that opportunity is something he’s also incredibly excited about.
“It’s just fantastic. It’s gonna be one massive battle ahead. I think the Russo brothers did such an incredible job with Civil War. They fully understand how to interweave so many different characters and make a really good narrative story. We’ll see what happens!”
And when he considers the prospect of standing next to Captain America, Thor, and Spider-Man?
“Oh no, no, no, no, no! I’ve got to get back and do some serious meditating.”
The Digital HD version of Doctor Strange releases tomorrow while the Blu-Ray and DVD releases are coming on February 28.
Avengers: Infinity War is set explode into theaters on May 4, 2018.
