‘Bill And Ted 3’ Announces Theatrical & VOD Release With New Trailer

A new trailer for Bill and Ted Face the Music announced the film will be available on demand and will also arrive in theaters on September 1.

According to the latest trailer for the time travelling adventure, Bill and Ted Face the Music will arrive on home release on September 1, the same day as its theatrical debut, in a surprising move from Orion Pictures and United Artists Releasing. It both supports those theaters who are open as well as drive-ins, but gives audiences the chance to see it at home if they don’t have the option to see it theatrically. It seems like the perfect title to have a simultaneous release. But the trailer also gave fans a better look at Bill and Ted Face the Music.

The new footage reveals a little more of the story in the third film, showing the duo’s daughters will have a large part to play in saving the world as Samara Weaving and Bridgette Lundy-Paine travel through time to assemble historical musicians. Fans will definitely spot that this mirrors Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure when the iconic pair brought a number figures from throughout history to take part in their school assignment. Here is the official synopsis for Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter’s Bill and Ted Face the Music:

“The stakes are higher than ever for the time-traveling exploits of William ‘Bill’ S. Preston Esq. and Theodore ‘Ted’ Logan. Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends – to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.”

Directed by Dean Parisot from a script written by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, the film stars Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, William Sadler, Brigette Lundy-Paine, and Samara Weaving.
