Bill Skarsgård’s ‘It: Chapter Two’ Gets An Official Rotten Tomatoes Score

Rotten Tomatoes revealed the current score for Bill Skarsgard’s It: Chapter Two.

Two years ago, Bill Skarsgard terrified audiences as Pennywise the Clown in Andy Muschietti’s acclaimed remake of It. Now, audiences will reunite with the Losers Club as adults and children for their final showdown with Bill Skarsgard’s Pennywise when the highly-anticipated It: Chapter Two debuts in theaters this week.

Today, Rotten Tomatoes revealed Bill Skarsgard’s It: Chapter Two currently holds a 82% score on the review aggregation website. As of press time, the score for It: Chapter Two is based on 38 reviews and the critical consensus for the Bill Skarsgard film reads as follows:

“It: Chapter Two proves bigger doesn’t always mean scarier for horror sequels, but a fine cast and faithful approach to the source material keep this follow-up afloat.”

Here is the official synopsis for It: Chapter Two:

Twenty-seven years after the events of the summer of 1989, It (Bill Skarsgard) returns. The Losers’ Club fulfill their promises and return to Derry to put an end to the evil being once and for all. Unbeknownst to them, It has returned, stronger and crueler than ever.

Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Gary Dauberman, It: Chapter Two stars Jessica Chastain as Beverly, James McAvoy as Bill, Bill Hader as Richie, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike, Jay Ryan as Ben, James Ransone as Eddie, and Andy Bean as Stanley. Reprising their roles from the first film are Jaeden Martell as Bill, Wyatt Oleff as Stanley, Jack Dylan Grazer as Eddie, Finn Wolfhard as Richie, Sophia Lillis as Beverly, Chosen Jacobs as Mike, and Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben, and Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise.

It: Chapter Two will be released in theaters on September 6, 2019.
