Bill Skarsgård Transforms Into The Joker For Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman’ In Creepy Fan Art

New artwork for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman imagines It: Chapter Two star Bill Skarsgard as the next Joker.

Although Robert Pattinson’s The Batman is already stacked with a number of villainous DC Comics characters, an artist recently imagined what Bill Skarsgard could look like as The Joker in a future movie with the new version of Bruce Wayne. Fans have joked about Skarsgard playing the Joker after he brought another villainous clown to life in the two IT movies directed by The Flash helmer Andy Muschietti.

The artwork in question was created by a digital artist known as “willgray_art” on Instagram and shows Bill Skarsgard with the iconic Joker makeup. The artist explained that he was inspired by the design of Mark Hamill’s Clown Prince of Crime in Batman: The Animated Series as well as the original inspiration for the villain, The Man Who Laughs. In the fan edit, Skarsgard gets the green pointed hairstyle and green eyebrows, while a second version of the piece pictures him without eyebrows at all. Either way, it’s an intimidating look that could fit in nicely with The Batman. You can see the Joker artwork below.

Would you like to see Bill Skarsgard as The Joker in a sequel to Robert Pattinson’s The Batman? Who else do you think should play the Clown Prince of Crime? Let us know in the comments!

Full plot details on The Batman are being kept under wraps, but we know that the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and features a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. Following the Dark Knight during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector, The Batman will also make use of the hero’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous live-action adaptations. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman is currently set to hit theaters on October 1, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the DC film and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
