DC’s ‘Birds Of Prey’ Release Date Revealed

Warner Bros. and DC Films’ Birds of Prey will be released in theaters on February 7, 2020.

Based on the DC Comics female superhero team of the same name, Birds of Prey will be produced by Margot Robbie alongside Kroll & Co Entertainment’s Sue Kroll and Clubhouse Pictures’ Bryan Unkeless. Robbie will reprise her Suicide Squad role as Harley Quinn and she will be joined by a cast of characters that includes Black Canary & Huntress. The Wrap reports that the second round of actresses will test for roles this week.

Details on the plots are currently unknown, though the film will center around the titular team of female heroes and villains based on the DC Comics characters and concepts created by Jordan B. Gorfinkel and Chuck Dixon. Birds of Prey will also feature Batman villain Black Mask as the main antagonist of the film.

Birds of Prey will be directed by Cathy Yan from a script penned by Bumblebee writer Christina Hodson. Production on the project is expected to begin this January.

Warner Bros. and DC Films are currently developing a number of projects, including The Batman, The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, Black Adam, Cyborg, Black Adam, Supergirl, New Gods, a Deathstroke film, and a Joker origin movie set outside of the DCEU.
