During a recent interview with The New York Times, Mary Elizabeth Winstead talked a bit about her upcoming film, Gemini Man and compared it to her role in Birds of Prey. Mary Elizabeth Winstead was eventually asked whether or not she hung from a helicopter in Gemini Man and in response went on to compare it to her work in Birds of Prey. Mary Elizabeth Winstead ended the interview by comparing it to something that came out of the 90s in the best way:
No, but I do a lot of running around and I get to fight some people. I had to train in jiu jitsu, do a little tactical gun training — there’s some shootouts. “Birds of Prey” was the next level up. In “Gemini Man” I’m a D.I.A. [Defense Intelligence Agency] agent who’s been hired to keep an eye on Will Smith, but in “Birds of Prey” I play this assassin who’s been trained since childhood. It’s all women and genuinely funny and weird. It feels from the ’90s, in the best way.
From the look of things, kids who grew up on 90s action movies will be feeling a bit of nostalgia while watching Birds of Prey if Mary Elizabeth Winstead is to be believed!
