‘Birds Of Prey’ Set Photo Confirms This Moment May Happen In Film

If you’ll recall, there were some set photos prior to the teaser video for Birds of Prey that showcased Margot Robbie in roller skates. While there’s been no indication from the subsequent set photos and video when, if at all, that moment would take place, a certain set photo has confirmed that this will indeed come to pass in the DC film.

Earlier today, one user on Reddit shared a photo of what looks to be an Instagram story. But the more important thing to take note of is that in the photo are the stunt doubles for Rosie Perez’s Renee Montoya and Jurnee Smollett-Bell’s Black Canary. The caption explains that these women, as well as a third, on roller skates are part of stunt double team for Birds of Prey. This, in turn, confirms that there will be a roller derby scene in the film. Also included in the photo is a caption explaining that Huntress and Harley Quinn were here as well.

Here, have a look at the Reddit post sharing the Birds of Prey set photo:

You ever see the movie I, Tonya? Well, if you have, hopefully Harley Quinn’s time on a rink here goes better than some of the moments that Margot Robbie’s Tonya Harding had in that biopic. But back on topic, given how we’ve seen Harley in those high heel boots in Suicide Squad, she’d pretty much have to be nimble on her feet, right? But between Robbie in skates and this set photo, perhaps the characters will indeed be headed to a roller rink.

Why anyone would visit a roller rink in Gotham City of all places is beyond me, but hey, maybe they decided to visit another area in the DC universe. Who knows? What do you think of this photo? What reason could there be to have a visit to a roller derby? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned for more updates on Birds of Prey.

Directed by Cathy Yan and written by Christina Hodson, Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) currently stars Margot Robbie, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rosie Perez, Ali Wong, Ella Jay Basco, Chris Messina, and Ewan McGregor. The film is set to hit theaters on February 7, 2020.
