The DC Comics series titled 'Black Lightning' premiered on The CW as the television network's highest-rated debut in two years.

Black Lightning premiered on Tuesday night as the CW’s highest-rated debut in two years.

The Cress Williams series Black Lightning premiered to 2.3 million viewers and a 0.8 rating among adults 18-49, tying the demo score of lead-in The Flash and losing less than 200,000 of its viewers.
