‘Black Panther’ Costume Designer Shares New BTS Image Of Warrior Falls

Even before the film hit theaters this past weekend, Black Panther was receiving praise for its costume design. Following a record-breaking opening weekend, Ruth Carter, the film’s costume designer, took to Instagram to share a new behind-the-scenes image from the set of the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe entry.

The image features a shot from our first trip to the Warrior Falls in the film’s first act before the VFX are added in with members of the four tribes spread throughout the cliffside, wearing their fantastic costumes. You can check out the image below.

The film is directed by Ryan Coogler and stars Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Martin Freeman as Everett K. After the death of his father, T’Challa returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king. When a powerful enemy suddenly reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king — and as Black Panther — gets tested when he’s drawn into a conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk.
