‘Black Panther’ Returning To Theaters For Free During Black History Month

Academy Award nominee Black Panther will return to cinemas for free during February to celebrate Black History Month.

Today Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger announced that Black Panther will return to AMC theaters from February 1 to 7. Iger broke the news to commemorate Black History Month, while also stating that the studio will donate $1.5 million to UNICEF for students in need of a higher education.

Marvel Studios recently received Academy Awards nominations for Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War. Ryan Coogler’s film has already got several accolades in this award season including three Golden Globes, eight Grammy Awards and, more recently, the Screen Actors Guild award for Best Ensemble Cast. So this news comes as quite a treat from Disney to run the film once again amidst the growing possibilities to pick up an Oscar and to join in the Black History Month celebration too.
