Get an all-new look at an earlier design for the previous Black Panther.
The concept art shows off an alternate look at King T’Chaka’s Black Panther with a Wakandan sash draped over his vibranium suit. While this concept ultimately wasn’t used for John Kani’s T’Chaka in the film, the design was eventually realized for the character’s Hot Toy. A Black Panther sequel is currently in development from Marvel Studios. Plot details remain under wraps, however, Chadwick Boseman will be returning to reprise his role as the Marvel superhero. In addition to Boseman, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler will also be returning to write and direct the sequel. Angela Bassett has also confirmed her return as Ramonda, the Queen Mother of Wakanda for the highly-anticipated follow-up.
The film is targeting May 6, 2022 release date with an early 2021 start for production, however, it’s possible the Coronavirus pandemic could cause more delays across the board for the studio.
In the meantime, fans can re-visit the first film. Here is the synopsis for Black Panther:
Marvel Studios “Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.

Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Sterling K. Brown, Florence Kasumba, John Kani, with Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis.
