‘Black Panther’ Tops Fandango Fan Survey For Best Drama At Golden Globes

It seems that Fandango fans want Black Panther to keep its records going, as a site survey has the film being moviegoers pick for Best Drama at the Golden Globes.

Fandango surveyed over 2,500 moviegoers to discover which film they felt should take home the Golden Globes. The big winner was last year’s Black Panther which remains the highest grossing film of 2018 in the United States. In addition, the fans also predicted that Crazy Rich Asians would be the winner for Best Musical or Comedy.

In a statement, Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis embraced the decisions and called them the kind of films that could change the world:

Black Panther and Crazy Rich Asians are not only wildly entertaining films, but they are groundbreaking, record-breaking and the kind of big-screen entertainment that can help change the world. Moviegoers embraced them with open arms, and as such it’s no wonder to see them top this list of movies fans want to see come out on top at the Golden Globes.

In addition, fans also would like to see Rami Malek, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Lady Gaga and Emily Blunt all take home Golden Globes for their roles in Bohemian Rhapsody, Mary Poppins Returns, and A Star Is Born. In addition, The Incredibles 2 was the fan pick for Best Animated Motion Picture and Bradly Cooper for Best Director. Whether or not these films will have a chance, however, is anyone’s guess.

What do you all make of these picks? Would you like to see Black Panther with the Golden Globe for Best Drama? Should that award go to another film? What do you all make of the other pics? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

The 2019 Golden Globes is scheduled to air on Sunday, January 6th.

Black Panther is now available on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, Digital HD and on FandangoNOW.
