At New York Comic-Con, Marvel announced a Black Panther LEGO movie titled 'Black Panther: Trouble in Wakanda', though no other details were revealed.
The character of Black Panther is set to have his own solo Marvel Cinematic Universe movie due in February, and the spin-off LEGO movie will be titled Black Panther: Trouble in Wakanda, though no other details were made available. It is most likely that the movie will be straight-to-DVD/Blu-Ray, and not be a full cinematic release akin to The LEGO Batman Movie or The LEGO Ninjago Movie.
There have been other lower-budget LEGO/Marvel movies made straight-to-DVD like LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Maximum Overload, but this is the first release centred on one character only. The focus on T’Challa is smart for business, with no official release date but an assumed release around the time of the character’s live-action film and the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, also featuring the character. It might not be much, but should be interesting.
Black Panther, the Marvel Studios live-action film, is in cinemas February, 16, 2018. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Black Panther and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and make sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more content!
