‘Black Widow’ Costume Designer Shares Photo From Budapest

The costume designer for Marvel Studio’s Black Widow film shared a photo from Budapest on social media.

During the Battle of New York in Avengers, Black Widow and Hawkeye had a brief exchange in which Scarlett Johansson’s character likened the chaos to an unspecified event in Budapest. Since then, fans have been eager to learn details on the Budapest event and a new photo from Black Widow costume designer Jany Temime suggests we may finally get some answers soon.

In a post on her official Instagram account, Black Widow costume designer shared a photo from the Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest with the hashtag “filmbusiness” included in the caption. With production said to be taking place in the country, the image could mean we will finally see Black Widow in Budapest and perhaps event witness the event she and Hawkeye experienced.

The Black Widow film is expected to feature events that occurred before the character’s debut in Iron Man 2 and could potetially explore the widow program, which would reveal the origin of Black Widow and how she became the formidable assassin she is today. In the comics, Natasha Romanoff was trained by Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier, who is played by Sebastian Stan in the films.

Directed by By Cate Shortland from a script written by Ned Benson and Jac Schaeffer, Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, and O-T Fagbenle. The Favourite star Rachel Weisz is reportedly circling a “key role” in the film.
