See you in a minute.
The movie industry changed last week when Warner Bros. announced that they will be putting their entire 2021 slate on HBO Max and in theaters for a simultaneous release model that will start with Wonder Woman 1984. With the earth-shattering news, many quickly looked to Disney and other movie studios to see how they would respond. Disney has already moved several of their films to Disney Plus like Soul and Mulan (with a $20 fee). With major tentpoles like The Suicide Squad hitting streaming next summer, many have predicted that Disney will announce something similar for Black Widow at their four-hour Investors Day presentation set for tomorrow.
According to The New York Times, it’s expected that Black Widow will remain a theatrical release while the live-action Pinocchio remake and Peter Pan & Wendy will head to streaming. The Investors Day presentation is also expected to showcase footage from Marvel Studios’ upcoming Phase 4 slate and the announcement of more Star Wars content for Disney Plus.
