‘Black Widow’ Set Video Could Reveal Scarlett Johansson Film Takes Place After ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

A new video from the set of Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow film could reveal the movie is set after the events of Avengers: Infinity War.

Production on Marvel Studios’ Black Widow film is currently underway and a new video from one of the shooting locations offers the latest look at Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff. Of course, the Black Widow film was widely believed to be a prequel but the latest set video and photos have prompted some to speculate that the film will also be set in between the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame.

The theory is at least partly based on the fact that Scarlett Johansson’s hairstyle and the color is the same as Black Widow’s in Avengers: Endgame, which jumps ahead five years after Thanos’ decimation early in the film, leaving a vast amount of time in lives of the Infinity War survivors unexplored. Fans can check out the set video featured below to see Scarlett Johansson’s hairstyle and determine whether or not they think the film is set after Avengers: Infinity War.

The Black Widow film is expected to feature events before the character’s debut in Iron Man 2. The standalone film has the opportunity to explore the widow program, which would reveal the origin of Black Widow and how she became the formidable assassin she is today. In the comics, Natasha Romanoff was trained by the Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes, who is played by Sebastian Stan in the films.

Directed by By Cate Shortland from a script written by Ned Benson and Jac Schaeffer, Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, and O-T Fagbenle. The Favourite star Rachel Weisz is reportedly circling a “key role” in the film.

Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the Black Widow film as it develops!
