New ‘Black Widow’ Image Spotlights Scarlett Johansson And Florence Pugh

The latest look at Marvel Studios’ Black Widow spotlights Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh during an action scene.

With only a few months to go before Marvel Studios’ Black Widow arrives in theaters, a brand new image spotlights an action scene featuring Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh. While the image doesn’t reveal too much about the Black Widow movie, it teases fans with the pair working together while Taskmaster provides a larger threat for them to face. It’s also interesting seeing Natasha re-forge her past relationships  in the space between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.

The new image arrived after USA Today posted an article about their most anticipated movies 0f 2020. The shot shows Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh riding a motorbike, presumably during the scene involving Taskmaster as he’s driving a tank through a European city. While the pair don’t exactly look happy to see each other during Black Widow, this could just be to do with their current situation rather than a frosty relationship – although we did see a brief fight between the two during the first trailer. Take a look at the new image of Scarlet Johansson and Florence Pugh in Marvel Studios’ Black Widow below.

Full plot details on Marvel Studios’ Black Widow are currently under wraps, though it has been revealed that the film is set after the events of Captain America: Civil War and will see Scarlett Johansson’s Nathasha Romanoff take on the villainous Taskmaster. The film will also mark the Marvel Cinematic Universe debut of Yelena Belova, the second modern-era character to use the Black Widow title in the comics.

Directed by Cate Shortland from a script written by Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson, Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, Ray Winstone, Olivier Richters, and Rachel Weisz.

Black Widow will be released in theaters on May 1, 2020.
