‘Blade Runner 2049’: Watch The First Official Trailer For The Movie

Following the release of the film’s synopsis, Warner Bros. and Alcon Entertainment have debuted the first official trailer for Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049, the sequel to the 1982 Ridley Scott-directed sci-fi classic.

The trailers offers up our first look at Ryan Gosling’s K, a mysterious blade runner who’s on a quest to find Harrison Ford’s Rick Deckard, who also makes a brief appearance towards the end of the sneak peek. What’s interesting is that the synopsis made it seem like the movie would revolve around K searching for Deckard, but we see that he’s already found him, meaning that there must be more to the story than just that. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. You can watch the trailer below.

Here’s the official synopsis for the film:

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

The film also stars Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Carla Juri, Mackenzie Davis, Barkhad Abdi, David Dastmalchian, Hiam Abbass, Lennie James and Jared Leto.

Blade Runner 2049 opens on October 6, 2017.
