"Boom, you looking for this?"
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is entering a brave, new world following Iron Man’s death in Avengers: Endgame. However, Iron Man‘s corner of the MCU will continue in some form. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man series is relatively close to the Iron Man world, plus we are also getting shows focused on Ironheart and Armor Wars.
Armor Wars is based on an Iron Man comic book storyline originally from the ’80s that focuses on Tony Stark’s concern about others getting ahold of his armor. Now that Stark has passed, Don Cheadle’s James Rhodes will take his place in the story. During a Q&A at the Credit Suisse 23rd Annual Communications Conference, Disney CEO Bob Chapek dropped that Armor Wars will “scratch that itch” for those who might be missing Iron Man.

Don Cheadle’s James Rhodes last appeared briefly in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier:
Following the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience—in Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.”
Directed by Kari Skogland from scripts written by showrunner Malcolm Spellman and Derek Kolstad, the series stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Falcon, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / The Winter Soldier, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker / U.S. Agent. Actors Desmond Chiam, Miki Ishikawa, Noah Mills, and Carl Lumbly have also been cast.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is available on Disney Plus. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news on Armor Wars and the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. You can also subscribe to HH’s YouTube channel for more original video content!
