Early word from Aquaman screenings have been the most positive for DC since Wonder Woman and it appears the film will earn as much opening weekend as well. Ahead of official tracking estimates coming on Tuesday, The Wrap reports the upcoming superhero flick could earn $100 million-plus over its domestic opening weekend. This would be the first film to cross $100 million opening weekend domestically this year since Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
$100 million-plus would give Aquaman the fourth-best opening weekend for the DCEU, beating out Justice League‘s $93 million and opening around Wonder Woman‘s $103 million and Man of Steel‘s $116 million. The highest opening weekend for any DC film currently belongs to Batman v Superman, which earned $166 million.
