Series creator Vince Gilligan is set to write, produce, and possibly direct a Breaking Bad film for AMC. The film will reportedly start filming this month in New Mexico and follow Jesse Pinkman after the events of the series finale. Breaking Bad aired on AMC from 2008 to 2013 and tells the story of Walter White over five seasons. White is a chemistry teacher who turns to a life of crime after he is diagnosed with cancer. The series was created by Gilligan and starred Cranston, Paul, Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, Betsy Brandt, RJ Mitte, Bob Odenkirk, Giancarlo Esposito, Jonathan Banks, Laura Fraser, and Jesse Plemons. The series garnered much acclaim during its run which included 16 Primetime Emmy Awards and 58 nominations. The series also launched the prequel spin-off series, Better Call Saul, which stars Odenkirk, Esposito, and Binks.
