‘Breaking Bad’ Movie Sequel Starring Aaron Paul To Air On Netflix

Aaron Paul wil be back as Jesse Pinkman for the Breaking Bad movie, which is headed to Netflix.

Talks about a Breaking Bad movie has been going on for sometime but it’s now confirmed that it will revolve around Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman after the event of the series. It will first air on Netflix and then AMC, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Series creator Vince Gilligan is returning to write and direct the film while also serving as executive producer.

The hit AMC TV show ran for five seasons and became a critical success. This success led to the prequel show Better Call Saul and audiences have been dying for more content set in the world of Breaking Bad. With Better Call Saul as a worthy prequel, there’s no doubt the movie will be a great sequel as well to satisfy fans.

Breaking Bad aired on AMC from 2008 to 2013 and tells the story of Walter White over five seasons. White is a chemistry teacher who turns to a life of crime after he is diagnosed with cancer. The series was created by Gilligan and starred Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, Betsy Brandt, RJ Mitte, Bob Odenkirk, Giancarlo Esposito, Jonathan Banks, Laura Fraser, and Jesse Plemons. The series garnered much acclaim during its run which included 16 Primetime Emmy Awards and 58 nominations. The series also launched the prequel spin-off series, Better Call Saul, which stars Odenkirk, Esposito, and Binks.

There is no release date set for the Breaking Bad movie at this time.
