Stargirl is coming to the DC Universe streaming service later this year, with Brec Bassinger set to star in the titular role. Stargirl will follow a line of DC Universe series that have impressed fans with their superhero costume designs, and now it looks like Brec Bassinger’s costume will fit right in with the rest.

Brec Bassinger will appear as Stargirl when the series hits DC Universe in August. Before then, fans will also be getting the highly-anticipated Swamp Thing series on DC Universe. Before Swamp Thing and Stargirl arrive, fans can catch up on the first seasons of Titans and Doom Patrol, as well as the first half of Young Justice: Outsiders. The second half of Young Justice: Outsiders arrives this summer.

High school sophomore Courtney Whitmore who inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. This new DC Universe series reimagines Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in a fun, exciting and unpredictable series premiering in 2019, produced by Warner Bros. Television, Mad Ghost Productions and Berlanti Productions.
Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitemore, Joel McHale as Starman, Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan, Meg DeLacy as Cindy Burman, with Anjelika Washington, Yvette Monreal, Christopher James, and Jake Austin Walker in undisclosed roles. Geoff Johns will write and executive produce the 13-episode first season of Stargirl. Sarah Schechter and Arrowverse boss Greg Berlanti will also serve as executive producers on the series.
Stargirl is scheduled to debut on DC Universe in August 2019.
