Is Brenton Thwaites Teasing Batgirl For ‘Titans’ Season 2?

Robin actor Brenton Thwaites may have just teased a Batgirl appearance in Titans Season 2.

Before the launch of Titans and DC Universe, there were rumors swirling that a Batgirl TV series was in the works for the steaming service. Producer Akiva Goldsman debunked the rumor when asked about it at New York Comic Con last year.

Warner Bros. is currently developing a Batgirl film, which was going to be written and directed by Joss Whedon at one point. Bumblebee and Birds of Prey‘s Christina Hodson is now the current writer on the project. Titans Season 2 filming is expected to begin filming in March and Brenton Thwaites recently teased a possible Batgirl appearance on his Instagram Story:

Do you think Batgirl will appear in Season 2? Who else from the Bat-Family would you like to see appear on the series? Comment below!

Titans follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a special young girl possessed by a strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and loveable Beast Boy. Together they become a surrogate family and team of heroes.

The series stars Brenton Thwaites as Richard “Dick” Grayson / Robin, Anna Diop as Koriand’r / Starfire, Teagan Croft as Rachel Roth / Raven, and Ryan Potter as Garfield “Gar” Logan / Beast Boy.

Titans is now available exclusively on DC Universe in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
