While Captain Marvel features Brie Larson sporting a Kree military suit with a little bit of style added to it thanks to Monica Rambeau, Carol Danvers will be getting an upgrade to the design of her iconic costume from the comics. If you had the chance to see Captain Marvel this weekend, you may have noticed Brie Larson donning an upgraded costume in the first post-credits scene which teased Avengers: Endgame.
The first post-credits scene featured Earth’s Mightiest Heroes at the Avengers Compound, reeling in the aftermath of the events of Avengers: Infinity War when they were surprised by the arrival of Captain Marvel herself on Earth. Brie Larson was seen with an upgraded suit and you can see the design for the suit itself in the image below.
So what do you think? Do you like Brie Larson’s upgraded Captain Marvel costume for Avengers: Endgame more than her original Kree suit in the film?
Mississipi Grind helmers Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck have directed from a script written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve. Here’s the official synopsis:
Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom.
Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, Clark Gregg and Jude Law. The film is slated to hit theaters on March 8, 2019.
Following her debut in her titular standalone film, Brie Larson will return to face Thanos in April when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26, 2019, however, it remains unclear as to whether or not Samuel L Jackson will appear.
Plot details are still under wraps but the Avengers are expected to attempt to undo Thanos’ snap which gave way to the decimation of half of the Universe after the heroes failed to stop the Mad Titan from collecting all six Infinity Stones in Avengers: Infinity War. The highly-anticipated Avengers: Infinity War follow-up will conclude the previous 22 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe before Marvel kicks off Phase 4 with Spider-Man: Far From Home in July.
A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame is expected to star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, Brie Larson, Josh Brolin, Chris Pratt, and Brie Larson.
