Tickets for Captain Marvel have become available to purchase. It seems that fans couldn’t wait to get their tickets as Captain Marvel scored bigger pre-sales than Captain America: Civil War. The only Marvel Cinematic Universe movies with higher pre-sales than Captain Marvel are Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther. Behind those three movies are Civil War and Ant-Man and The Wasp. Brie Larson, who’s playing Captain Marvel, took to Twitter to respond to the news. Fans in the comments section are raving about how excited they are and the success the movie is already having before its actual release.
Fans are mostly commenting on how people thought the movie would flop as Captain Marvel was generally unknown to moviegoers before the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Based on pre-sales, it’s safe to say this movie is destined to be a success. Audiences are showing great enthusiasm to see the continuation of the franchise and maybe gain a bit of backstory on the character Nick Fury called in the post-credits scene of Infinity War.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.
