Fan Theorizes Happiness Is Key To Bruce’s Hulk Problem In ‘Infinity War’

So you know how Bruce Banner is always angry? Well, what if the opposite feeling was the key to his Hulk problem in Avengers: Infinity War?

I know. You immediately realize that another Reddit theory is coming down the pipeline for this one. And you’re absolutely right. So Hulk gets the ever loving heck beaten out of him by Thanos at the start of Avengers: Infinity War and from that point onward, Bruce Banner was unable to summon the big green giant. Fans and creators alike, including the Russo Brothers themselves, have given their various explanations and theories for why Banner couldn’t summon the Hulk in the recent Avengers film.

So let’s entertain a fan theory. This Reddit user starts with Banner’s words in The Avengers about how he’s always angry. Since then, he’s become used to his new Earth and space-bound friends between The Avengers and Thor: Ragnarok. He’s talked with Natasha about settling down, fought alongside the likes of Thor and Valkyrie in Ragnarok, and he hasn’t felt the need to be on the move from the government. Indeed, a lot has changed for Bruce Banner since his solo film. Not the least of which includes him transforming from Edward Norton to Mark Ruffalo.

In the end, the theory boils down to Bruce Banner being unable to summon the Hulk because he’s a lot happier as of recent than when he met the Avengers. Here, have a look at the theory for yourself:

In your opinion, does this sound like a credible explanation for why the Hulk refused to come out after getting utterly demolished by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War? Do you stick by the explanation given by the Russo Brothers? Or do you have another idea entirely? Let us know your thoughts on the ongoing topic of Bruce Banner’s Hulk problem in the comments below.

Avengers: Infinity War is available now on Digital HD, 4K, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
