Bryan Cranston Addresses Rumors Of ‘Breaking Bad’ Movie

Say his name. Bryan Cranston? Well, that’s the actor, but close enough, but yes, the man behind Walter White recently addressed the Breaking Bad rumor that’s been swirling around circles for some time.

During his appearance last night on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Bryan Cranston was asked by Jimmy Fallon about the supposed project. Knowing that Bryan Cranston couldn’t say much about it, Fallon merely mentioned that he had heard a rumor about a Breaking Bad movie. After some applause from the audience, Cranston did finally say…well, have a look:

“I can say and announce tonight in front of your audience- exclusive announcement- that I can confirm that there is a Breaking Bad movie…rumor that is making its way.”

Questlove was most definitely not amused by this, but here, watch Jimmy Fallon ask Bryan Cranston the big Breaking Bad question in the video below, starting at the 2:38 mark:

It would be interesting to see where a possible film could take the remainder of the Breaking Bad characters, in particular following Jesse from where things left off in the series finale. Given Walter’s fate, any appearance by Cranston would probably have to be in a flashback. But the series and franchise still maintains its popularity now with the ongoing success of Better Call Saul, so there are still many curious about the ongoing adventures in the Breaking Bad universe.

Still, though, would you want to see an official Breaking Bad film? And would you want to see Bryan Cranston return in some capacity to that world? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

The complete series of Breaking Bad is available now on Digital HD, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
