Bryce Dallas Howard confirmed in a tweet of her actress chair that filming has officially started for the "Jurassic World" sequel.
Bryce Dallas Howard teased that she would start filming scenes soon for Jurassic World 2 back in January. A month later, and it seems that Jurassic World 2 has officially started shooting. In a tweet released by Howard today at 5 AM, she let the world know that day one of production has started and that no, it is not a drill.
Very little is actually known about Jurassic World 2 (or Jurassic Park 5 for some people…you know who you are) but a synopsis was revealed through MyEntertainmentWorld very recently. Check out the, admittedly ridiculous, logline below:
The adventures at the Jurassic World resort and theme park continue as the government has trained dinosaurs to carry weapons and use them for battle purposes.
It’s unclear whether or not this synopsis is accurate, but it would make sense to a certain extent. There were rumors of the sequel being called Jurassic War, so it’s certainly not out of the realm of possibility.
Directed by J.A. Bayona, the film stars returning cast members Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt. The cast also includes BD Wong (Jurassic Park, Gotham), Toby Jones (Captain America: The First Avenger), Rafe Spall (Life of Pi, Black Mirror), Justice Smith (The Get Down), and Daniella Pineda (The Detour).
Jurassic World 2 hits theaters June 22, 2018.
