Paramount’s Transformers film series continues this holiday season with a comparatively smaller film centered around Bumblebee in the 1980s. Now, an international promo for the film features a brief clip in which the eponymous Autobot joins his new friends Charlie and Memo in the classic teepeeing prank, though the title Transformer may have misunderstood the concept.

On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.
Directed by Travis Knight from a script written by Christina Hodson, the film stars Hailee Steinfeld, Pamela Adlon, John Cena, Stephen Schneider, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Jason Ian Drucker, Kenneth Choi, Ricardo Hoyos, Abby Quinn, Rachel Crow, and Grace Dzienny.
Bumblebee will be released in theaters on December 21, 2018.
