‘Bumblebee’ Debuts With Perfect 100% Score On Rotten Tomatoes

The upcoming sixth installment in the long-running Transformers series of films Bumblebee is scheduled to be released in just a couple of weeks time from now. Yesterday evening, many audiences and critics alike were able to attend an early screening of the film, with the review embargo being lifted immediately afterwards. Now, the reviews are pouring in, and on review aggregator website Rotten TomatoesBumblebee currently stands at an extremely impressive 100% score with 12 reviews from critics.

To put this into comparison, every other entry in the franchise has a “rotten” score on the website, with the second highest film scoring a 58%. For years, critics have been expressing why the Transfomers films do not work well, mainly due to the discombobulated stories, poor characters, and lack of fun. It seems all of this is fixed with Bumblebee, as many of the reviews coming in claim the film is the best in the series and has a great lead character Charlie Watson played by Hailee Steinfeld, and is packed with fun. It is worth noting, however, that the picture currently has only twelve reviews from critics, so the perfect score is possible to lower sometime soon.

Directed by Travis Knight with a script from Christina Hodson, Bumblebee stars Hailee Steinfeld, John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., John Ortiz, Jason Drucker, and Pamela Adlon.

Bumblebee will be released in theatres on December 21, 2018, by Paramount Pictures.
