“We are very happy to have her. There are ongoing discussions. We are thrilled that she wants to continue on the show, and we are thrilled to have her in whatever capacity.”
Rumors have circulated that Flockhart might be able to fly to Vancouver periodically, filming scenes for multiple episodes at one time. Reducing her overall travel time for the show.
After an average season one within the ratings, it made scene that the show would move to this network. Supergirl comes from executive producers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Ali Adler.
The show will be moving to Vancouver, Canada as previously reported when discussions had just first started. There had been concerns that due to some budget cuts that will be coming that some cast members would be trimmed off the main group, but it appears that everyone is coming back for the second season.
Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, David Harewood as J’onn J’onzz/Martian Manhunter, Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant and Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott.
