‘Gotham’ Makeup Artist Shares Horrifying Design For Cameron Monaghan’s Joker

Gotham makeup artist Ben Bornstein recently took to Instagram to release a photoshop design used for Cameron Monaghan’s Joker.

Gotham ended earlier this year, but many fans are still reminiscing on the show’s impressive five-year run. The Batman prequel show explored the origin story of not just the Caped Crusader but also his Rogues’ Gallery. Gotham focused on many classic Batman villains, with The Penguin, The Riddler, and Catwoman being some of the most prominent members of the show.

While each villain on Gotham had their own fanbase, the undisputed breakout performance of the show was Cameron Monaghan’s turn as The Joker. Cameron Monaghan’s performance was certainly terrifying on its own, but the special effects that helped boost his character’s on-screen presence certainly helped.

Monaghan sported many iconic Joker looks throughout the show’s run, harkening back to various incarnations of the Joker in the comics. However any Gotham fan can confirm his new look for the final season of Gotham was the definitive one for the series. Now, Ben Bornstein has shared concept art that offers fans their best look yet at Cameron Monaghan’s Joker design. Check it out below.

This concept art is just as terrifying as the finished product. While Gotham was known for being over the top, the show always stayed very true to the original gothic influences that have defined great Batman comics throughout the years. However, Gotham continued to push boundaries in its final season, giving fans a brand new take on the Clown Prince of Crime.

What did you think about Cameron Monaghan’s final Joker look on Gotham? What did you think of Cameron Monaghan as the Joker? Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below!
