The final episode of FOX’s Batman prequel series Gotham is upon us this week, at the series closes out with a finale that pits David Mazouz’s Batman against Cameron Monaghan’s Joker. David Mazouz is finally suiting up as Batman in the episode that features a 10-year time jump, featuring older versions of both David Mazouz’s Batman and Cameron Monaghan’s Joker.
Cameron Monaghan’s Jeremiah completes his transformation into a rather deformed version of the Joker in the episode. You can check out what Cameron Monaghan’s Joker could look like if David Mazouz’s Batman sends him to Arkham Asylum in the final episode below!
So what do you think? Are you excited to see Cameron Monaghan become The Joker proper in the final episode of Gotham? Are you satisfied with Cameron Monaghan’s performance in the series? What else do you hope to see from Cameron Monaghan in the future? Let us know in the comments below!
Cameron Monaghan’s final appearance as the Joker seems to take influence from the Earth-2 version of the iconic villain. Earth-2 Joker first appeared in 2008’s Justice League Of America Annual Vol. 3 # 1. After fighting against Batman for many years, the Earth-2 Joker is a much older version of the character than we’re used to. But even with his old age and disabilities, he’s still fighting against Batman supporters like Robin and Huntress, which is Batman’s daughter Helena Wayne in this universe, after he allegedly killed the Caped Crusader in this universe.
While we’re going to see an earlier version of Cameron Monaghan’s Joker in Gotham, continuing his feud with David Mazouz’s Batman but now as a proper Joker, Cameron Monaghan’s final Joker form bears a striking resemblance to his Earth-2 iteration.
