‘Gotham’: Cameron Monaghan Shares BTS Photos Of His Final Joker Look

Cameron Monaghan has shared three new behind-the-scenes photos from the Gotham series finale, giving fans another at his final outing as The Joker.

Earlier this week, Gotham star Cameron Monaghan took home the Choice TV Villain prize at the 2019 Teen Choice Awards. The actor won the award for his portrayal of The Joker in the Batman prequel series, which ended earlier this year.

Right after his win, Cameron Monaghan took to Instagram to thank everyone who helped bring The Joker to life during Gotham‘s five-season run. In his post, Cameron Monaghan included three behind-the-scenes photos from his time on the series, taken on the day he tried Joker’s final look for the very first time. Cameron Monaghan has been one of many actors to take on a Joker-esque character in Gotham but his iteration has certainly been the most iconic over the show’s run. Outside of Gotham, Cameron Monaghan is best known for his role as Ian Gallagher on the Showtime series Shameless.

Here is the official synopsis for the final episode of Gotham, titled “The Beginning.”

The series flash-forwards 10 years into the future, as Bruce is set to return to Gotham for the opening of the new Wayne Tower. A series of crimes leads Gordon to believe Penguin and The Riddler are up to their old tricks. However, when Bullock is framed for a murder, Gordon begins to piece together an even more sinister plot targeting the city, and a new figure emerges from the shadows to be the hero Gotham desperately needs in the all-new “The Beginning… ” series finale episode of GOTHAM.

Gotham stars Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Donal Logue as Detective Harvey Bullock, Morena Baccarin as Dr. Leslie Thompkins, Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle, Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma/The Riddler, Cameron Monaghan as Jeremiah Valeska and Chris Chalk as Lucius Fox.
