Gotham is finally coming to an end this summer after premiering in 2014 and running for five seasons. The Batman prequel series featured the origin of many iconic DC villains, including Cameron Monaghan’s Joker. Actor Cameron Monaghan’s character Jerome first gave fans a taste of what a young Joker could look like in Gotham but the character met his demise in season four. Cameron Monaghan has since taken on the role of Jerome’s twin brother, Jeremiah, and this season has finally given the character his most comic-accurate Joker costume yet.
Cameron Monaghan’s Joker will appear very deformed in the Gotham series finale thanks to his last run-in with David Mazouz’s Bruce Wayne. Last fans saw the Joker, he had fallen into a vat of ACE chemicals. Make-Up artist Ben Bornstein has now given fans their best look yet at Cameron Monaghan’s final Joker form via Instagram. Check out the creepy character design in the post below.
Cameron Monaghan has been one of many actors to take on a Jokeresque character in Gotham but his iteration has certainly been the most iconic over the show’s five-season run. Outside of Gotham, Cameron Monaghan is best known for his role as Ian Gallagher on the series Shameless.
