Avengers: Endgame is coming to theaters in about a month, concluding the storyline that began in last year’s Avengers: Infinity War. Besides that, it’s also the culmination of eleven years of MCU storytelling that began with Iron Man back in 2008. Chris Evans, who plays the MCU’s Captain America, has been very vocal about his desire to take a break from the role to pursue his directing career.
Because of this, many Marvel fans have been theorizing how Chris Evans could depart the Captain America role after Avengers: Endgame in the most satisfying way possible. A Marvel fan with the username sleepysloth628 on Reddit presented a very bittersweet way that Chris Evans’ Captain America could meet his demise in Avengers: Endgame. Check out the fascinating fan theory in the post below.
After Chris Evans, Brie Larson, and the rest of the Marvel heroes team up to defeat Josh Brolin’s Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, MCU fans still have one more installment of the franchise to look forward to this year. In July, Tom Holland is returning to the big screen as the MCU’s Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Tom Holland is expected to return from the dead in Avengers: Endgame, but the folks at Marvel Studios have yet to reveal any specifics on how that may happen quite yet. Given the secrecy surrounding Avengers: Endgame, it seems like fans will have to wait until the film hits theaters to see how the casualties of Infinity War will return.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Avengers: Endgame and Chris Evans’ future as Marvel’s Captain America as soon as more information becomes available. Do you think this would be a good death scene for Captain America? If not, how would you like to see Chris Evans depart from the franchise? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
