The brutal fight in Siberia gets the spotlight.
During Avengers: Infinity War it quickly became clear that Captain America: Civil War is the main reason Earth’s Mightiest Heroes weren’t assembled in time to face off against Thanos. After that devastating final fight between Captain America, Iron Man and the Winter Soldier, it’s not surprising that the heroes were divided. Although because Civil War showed off more of Bucky Barnes’ personality, it was likely one of the reasons Marvel Studios decided to pair him with Sam Wilson for their upcoming Disney Plus series.
New keyframe art from the Head of Visual Development at Marvel Studios, Ryan Meinerding, spotlights the brutal fight between the Winter Soldier and Iron Man in Siberia. The Captain America: Civil War design highlights the moment right before Iron Man uses his arc reactor to blast Bucky’s arm off mid-fight, incapacitating him and taking him out of action. It’s an incredibly detailed piece of art and it just shows how much effort goes into working on the most important moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Take a look below.
