‘Captain America’ Concept Art Reveals Early Design For Chris Evans’ Rescue Suit

Concept artist Ryan Meinerding unveiled new concept art for Chris Evan’s rescue outfit in Captain America: The First Avenger.

During Captain America: The First Avenger, Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers learns that his longtime friend Bucky Barnes was in the unit that went MIA after a battle against Red Skull’s forces. Ignoring orders to accept the unit’s demise, Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers gears up to embark on a rescue mission with some help from Peggy Carter and Howard Stark.

However, Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers had yet to acquire his official outfit at this point and had to combine tactical gear with the crude costume he wore to promote war bonds. Now,  Marvel Studios Head of Visual Development Ryan Meinerding has revealed two illustrations that reveal early designs for Chris Evan’s rescue outfit.

You can check out the concept art in the post below!
