Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel finally makes her MCU debut this weekend. The film currently sits at an 82% on Rotten Tomatoes and is tracking for a huge $152 million opening weekend at the box office. Our first glimpse at Brie Larson in the blue and red suit happened at San Diego Comic-Con two years ago and Marvel Studios always impresses with their concept art done by artist Andy Park. Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, the film stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.
Captain Marvel will be released in theaters on March 8, 2019.
