Yesterday, Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot took to her official Instagram account to share a photo of herself with Captain Marvel star Brie Larson. While the photo had been taken while both women were at the 2020 Oscars ceremony, fans quickly noticed that the image was remarkably similar to famous artwork featuring their respective comic book counterparts.
As it turns out, many people have been hoping to see both women recreate the comic book image since at least 2017, including Brie Larson. When a fan posted a photo of the Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman art asking for Brie Larson and Gal Gadot to recreate the photo, the former replied with a simple, “Mood!!!”
Check out the post below to compare both images and see what Brie Larson had to say at the time.
Brie Larson will reprise her role as Carol Danvers in Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel sequel. Full details on the film are currently unknown, though the recently unveiled Phase 4 line-up did not include Captain Marvel 2, indicating the Brie Larson film is part of the Phase 5 slate.
Meanwhile, Gal Gadot will reprise her role as Diana Prince in the highly-anticipated Wonder Woman 1984. Full details on the plot are being kept under wraps, but the film is said to follow Diana Prince as she comes into conflict with a formidable new adversary named Cheetah and businessman Maxwell Lord.
Wonder Woman 1984 will be released in theaters on June 4, 2020.
