‘Captain Marvel’ Star Brie Larson Picks Wonder Woman As Favorite Female Superhero

During an interview with The Female Lead at the premiere of Captain Marvel, Brie Larson explained why Wonder Woman is her favorite female superhero.

Captain Marvel debuted in theaters this weekend and is already set to cross the $500 million mark at the worldwide box office. Lead star Brie Larson portrayed the titular heroine in Marvel Studios’ first female-led film and asked which female superhero was her favorite at the red carpet premiere, Larson expressed her fondness for Wonder Woman:

“I really like Wonder Woman a lot. […] I do. I think she’s super cool.”

In addition to her love for Wonder Woman, Larson gave a special shout out to the women of Black Panther:

“But also all the ladies in Wakanda are pretty cool too. All the Black Panther Ladies. […] We got a lot of cool superheroes.”

You can check out the interview in the video below.

Brie Larson will reprise her role as Carol Danvers in Avengers: Endgame and Gal Gadot will return as Diana Prince in Wonder Woman 1984.

Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.
